1）微笑- 让人暂时卸下防备的最好工具。
2）变通- 让自己生存久一点的基本条件。
3）争取- 竞争中最主要的进攻策略。
4）假装- 失败后最关键的推卸策略。
5）讨好- 其中之一的胜利因素。
当然你还得加上努力、智力才能得到胜利。
Recently getting abit tired of work-
needs alot of mental power to work out the intricacies of office politics/competitions.
however work is work,
there is no compassion involved.
either you win or you lose.
either you climb up the ladder or you stay put.
either you are alone or you have alot of enemies
either you are out or you are in...
there will be no friendship in a workplace, only allies.
war is inevitable,
so must learn to survive...
ultimately the question is: for how long?

Why?
Why?
Today our lab's newcomer asked me why didn't I want to eat lunch?
I could not answer.
Why?
Such a simple question...
Yet the answer is so difficult to come out of my mouth.
Or simply,
there is no answer?
Why?
Why are there so many 'Whys' when
there are so less answers?
Or...
not all questions will have an answer?
Then why we have so many whys in the first place?
为什么有时我们不知道如何回答别人的为什么？
也许是没有答案？
或者答案会比问题复杂？
为什么那么多为什么？
却没有那么多的答案？
有时我们就是没有理由。。。
可是偏偏人就是要钻牛角尖，
需要一个能满足他们好奇心的答案。

难道他们忘了在考试的时候，
在选答题时就有那么一个答案叫‘什么都不是’？

Last Friends
Another Jap Drama.
About 6 friends:
A girl who was willing to sacrifice her own happiness to save her friends by giving in to her abusive boyfriend.
A man whose wife betrayed him.
A girl who could not love a man as she loved her girlfriend
A man who had sex phobia and could not love a woman
A girl who could not decide what she really wanted in a relationship
A man who used violence to keep his girlfriend by his side.
They were all victims of their own emotions, characters, upbringing etc.
Friends?
Although we have friends，good friends.
But there is an intangible connection among us in terms of emotions, feelings towards each other.
We cannot avoid/deny the existence of such connection.
In the end, what are friends to us?
Somebody who we really love? Or who we need when in time of difficulties? Or who we want to protect with our lives? Or who will make us feel love with them around? Or who will make us feel wanted and not abandoned?
Or simply we have such profound feelings for them that we do not know at all?
Friends
we need them, love them, cherish them
but we can hurt them, break them, destroy them in one way or the other...
But who are the ones stay with us at the end?
Who will be our last friends?
Or does 'last friends' really exist?

可以很暧昧，
也可以很分明。

Change
Just finish watching a Jap Drama titled: Change by the famous actor Kimura Takuya (木村拓哉）。
It was about a 35 years old teacher stepping into politics and became the youngest prime minister of Japan. It took me a spin into the world of politics filling with men craving for power, their desires rule their heart....
It is not easy to be the head of the nation because not only he has to upkeep his principle but also promise to rule in the interest of his people and nation.
I learned that no matter how high your position are, be it the head of the nation, a manager of a department or a leader of a team:
1) if your men do something wrong, you are to be responsible for it
2) you must always protect the people under you
3) punish and reward your men accordingly
4) impartial to everyone
5) to be a good role-model to your men
6) must be diligent and hardworking as your men
7) respect your men
8) listen to them with your ears, watch them with your eyes, love them with your heart, help them with your hands and talk to them with your mouth...
'What you do for a long time, it does not mean it is right. It is just that you are not willing to change. Change does not mean it is bad. Change can be good, depending how you see it...'
‘政治是黑暗的’
当一个领导人不容易。
你不止要为自己还要为人民努力。
你得要为自己的决定承担一切后果。
你需要比别人多十倍的毅力。
我学会了当一个领导人，
-需要学会怎么承担，要赏罚分明，要保护自己的下属。。。
我可以吗？

你改朝换代是叫改变。
变不一定不好。

So only when there is a crisis, then we can see where we need to change to improve it.
